Who We Are
Churches come in different shapes and styles.
What type of church is CBC! We believe the following statements will help you get a better feel for who we are and what we are striving to be.
We are an evangelical church: We teach the Bible and the historic truths of the Christian faith found in God's Word.
We are a loving, caring and accepting church of people who are on the adventure of a lifetime: striving to know Christ fully and growing to become more like Christ.
We are a Christ-centered church: Jesus Christ is the reason we gather, the Savior we worship, the Word we proclaim, the One we love, the motivation of our mission, the example we follow, and our coming King we anticipate.
We are a praying church: We believe in the power of prayer and in the awesome privilege we have to come before God boldly to communicate with Him as our heavenly Father as we seek to establish a full and intimate relationship with Him.
We are a worshipping church: We love to worship our God - in traditional as well as contemporary ways - and to celebrate who He is and what He is doing in our lives, in the world, and for His kingdom by His Holy Spirit.
We are a diverse church: While we have unity of faith centered in Jesus Christ, we have diversity of people who call Countryside Baptist Church home.
We are an intergenerational church: We have programs and ministries that connect with all ages.
We are a mission-focused church: We have a clear vision and mission given to us by Jesus Christ. We seek to serve that mission by reaching out to those in need of assistance and in need of the Gospel in our community and the world.
Mission Statement:
This composite of who we are and what we stand for creates the underlying purpose of our mission statement: "The people of Countryside Baptist Church exist to reach out in the name of Jesus Christ, so that others may experience Help, Hope and Home."
